This guide explains how to pin components to a tab for an information board within your organization. This function is ideal for making important information constantly visible, such as title bars or news pages, where you might want to display the latest news from the organization.

Pinning these components ensures that important updates are always immediately available to users. Follow the steps below to easily set up this useful feature.

How does this work?

  1. Gaining Access Open the webpage: Organization Management

Only organization administrators have access. If you do not have access, the message will appear: access forbidden.

Click on the details of the information board where you want to make the adjustment.

Go to the Infoboards tab and find the desired information board. Then click on Details.

Find the components you want to pin and click on Modify.

In this window, you can confirm whether you want to pin (lock) a component or release it for editing.

For the secured component, Locked is indicated.

What this looks like in information board edit mode:

You now see two locks next to the title bar and the news page component. Account users can no longer adjust settings (pencil icon), and it is also not possible to move or delete these components. It is also not possible to delete a tab containing a locked component.

Central news as a tab on information boards?

It is also possible to offer central news as a tab on the information boards.

If you want to use the information boards for central organization-wide communication and are having trouble, please contact us; we’d be happy to set this up with you!
