Secure components with a PIN code?

Part of: Working a board

A PIN code is used to secure certain parts of an information board. There are two types of PIN codes: a general PIN code and an individual PIN code for clients.

The general PIN code is used for management and maintenance of a specific topic, while the individual PIN code for clients provides access to their personal information and for checking in and/or out.

In this article, we will discuss creating a general PIN code.

Which components can be set with a PIN code?

  1. Within the online environment, go to your information board. Then select “edit board”. You can find this option in the top right corner of the screen.

  2. You will now see that each component has its own black pencil icon.

If you click on it, a settings window will open displaying various options.

  1. If a PIN code can be set for this component, the following button will appear at the bottom of the overview:

If the button is not visible, it is not possible to set a PIN code for this component.
